Review of Yeti Tumbler vs Ozark Trail: Which is of Better Value?

Review of Yeti Tumbler vs Ozark Trail: Which is of Better Value?

Similar to the Ozark Trail cooler, the Pelican features orange wheel rims and also has orange clasp accents. You can get this cooler in three colors, Tan which is featured here, as well as graphite and white. The other two colors will have different rims and accents, so if you don’t love the orange you have options. Pelican is a newer entry in to the world of rotomolded coolers and have taken their own spin on design and function. I love being able to use the dishwasher to be sure it’s clean and for the convenience. Ozark Trail and Yeti both offer two packs in 20 oz and 30 oz sizes. I have been using the 30 oz Ozark Trail tumbler and the 30 oz Yeti Rambler for a true comparison. I like how having this lid adds more versatility to the Yeti and Ozark Trail tumblers. Both the Ozark Trail tumbler and Yeti tumbler seem to have the same high quality, vacuum-insulation. Therefore, a cup that is sturdy, reliable, warm, cold and easy to carry is very important. Crafted from robust 18/8 stainless steel with a sleek powder coating finish, this tumbler stands the test of time, resisting scratches, rust, and the mingling of flavors. Its ergonomic handle promises a comfortable grip, making it an ideal companion for any journey. Engineered to fit most car cup holders, it’s the quintessential accessory for the home, office, gym, or while traveling. You won’t wake the neighbors up when you are pulling this down your dock. Rounding out the exterior is a lid that features 4 cup holders and inch notches for measuring your catch of the day. In a sheer stroke of luck for this test, we are having a very aggressive heatwave in Southeast Michigan with temperatures around the 90’s during the day and staying in the 70’s overnight. The Yeti external temperature has risen to 126.5deg, the highest external temperature recorded all day. The Orca records a 123.2deg reading and the Ozark Trail has hit 124.8deg. The Yeti has now drained 16 ounces of water and the remaining ice is turning to slush. The 18/8 stainless steel gives it a clean palate, and doesn’t leave behind any metallic taste. The tumbler is also very easy to wash as both the cup and lid is dishwasher safe. After a brief rain shower around noon, the sun came out and stayed out. At the six hour mark, the pavement temperature soared to 142.4deg. The external temperature of the Yeti rose to 122.9deg, the Orca rose to 110.3deg and the Ozark Trail climbed to 117.3deg. Perhaps most famous for the popularity of the Yeti tumbler, many people refer to their Yeti as a cup instead of a tumbler. And while they became popular seemingly overnight, Yeti tumblers have also become the standard by which other tumblers were made. Both tumblers look very much the same, so it is a no-contest in this area.
As such, you’d rather not use both the tumblers as replacement for your stainless steel insulated water bottle. It is made with stainless steel with vacuum-insulated walls designed for regulating ambient liquid temperature. Once the lids are placed on to the Tumblers you can see a bit more in relation to how they work. With the locking lid, there appears to be more heat transference than the open mouth lid. Even with the locking lid absorbing more heat, it does provide a few degrees more heat retention over time. It is equipped with a robust suspension system that absorbs shocks for a comfortable ride on rough terrains. The bike comes with high-quality, all-terrain tires that provide excellent traction and control. It also includes a wide range of gears to tackle various inclines and surfaces with ease. Additionally, the bike has ergonomic handlebars and a comfortable saddle for long rides. The tumblers were checked every two hours and water was drained from each tumbler into a measuring cup. The amount of water drained from each tumbler was noted as well as the external temperature of the tumbler and the pavement temperature. So, the ridiculous hype with the Yeti tumblers last year was just crazy! Stainless steel water bottles have really gone mainstream over the last decade with many buyers opting for this over the plastic water bottles of old.
